This is my 1970 Norton Commando cafe racer that I built from the ground up. I then realized I couldn??t ride it because of my bad back. So I??m letting it go. I have over $20, 000 into it. Frame and all but the tin are powder coated. Every barring, bushing, and seal had been replaced and runs great.... more

A very original Norton Big 4 with a Swallow Jet 80 sidecar. A lovely old thing with a beautiful patina. Loads of history including, Buff log book, some tax discs and MOTs, sorns, photos of owner and Bike from the 70s i think. Very rare collectable Norton Commando 850 in good condition. The engine was fully rebuilt in the late 70s for racing but never fired up. Just like new. The engine dynamically balanced crank, manx frame metisse swinging arm type, alloy petrol and oil tanks made by tab classics (not indian ones). Back to back double drum front brake 8" bsa dunlop flanged alloy rim, stainless butted spokes, rear alloy wheel manx type stainless steel spokes, the two wheels are 19 inch with new tyres. An unbelievable time warp machine with only 2758 miles from new. One could not reproduce this finish in a restoration or for this price. I bought this from an agent working on behalf of the original purchaser about four years ago. A reluctant sale as I know I am very unlikely to find another like it. Stunning example of the rare early high exhaust P11 (also known as a Cheetah). This is not a later P11A or Ranger which came with low exhausts. Some of the other early P11 features include the larger 3 6 gallon fuel tank, solo seat, skimmed hubs, no chain guard and number plate mounting. This bike was manufactured 16th March 1967 according to the Norton Owners Club letter.
