Rare and desirable BSA West Coast Hornet first registered in the USA in January 1967. Imported into the UK in 2015 and UK registered here in June 2018 as a historic vehicle. Hello, thanks for looking 1969 BSA Thunderbolt project Current V5 in my name, registered as a historic vehicle, currently on sorn. Believed to have been a police bike for the Birmingham force originally 650cc classic ?flying egg?? twin with single Amal concentric carburettor (Thunderbolts have one carb, Lightning??s have 2 carbs and I believe a tacho too) Bought this to have as a project / get on the road, but I??ve got 2 1950??s AJS to get on with and don??t have the space / time for this one.... more

I have too many to do. frame and other parts have been powder coated. lots of parts have been re chromed. new wheel rims and re spoked it is missing its seat and needs new tyres. log book in my name plus some other paperwork. its an easy project for somebody to do.... more

BSA Lightning, fully rebuilt and restored in 2000 and has done 12, 000 miles since.
The engine was built by SRM with needle roller main bearing conversion, balanced crank and Norman Hyde clutch. It also has Boyer electronic ignition. The bike is pretty much standard other than stainless steel silencers, alloy rims ( Dunlop rear and Borrani front), TT100 tyres and Hagon shocks.
